The intellectual my company will make and have to protect:
Copyrights: Copyrights protect original works of authorship, such as films, television shows, and other video productions. As a video production business, I will likely own the copyrights to the video projects that you produce. By the end of the project, all of the rights to the final product will go to the client. My company's duty is to film, edit, and produce the video for the client.
Trademarks: Trademarks protect brand names, logos, and other distinctive symbols that identify my business and distinguish it from others. I will have to get a trademark for my logo and any identifying features of my products such as a watermark for footage.
Trade secrets: Trade secrets are confidential business information that provides a competitive advantage. As a video production business, I might have trade secrets related to your creative processes, business strategies, or technical innovations.
Website: The last thing my company will need to protect is the name. I will be purchasing the rights to the domain name SimbaMakawaPorducitons.com. I have looked on google and the name is available for purchase.
Once my company has finalized a logo we will have to properly register it as a federal trademark. In addition to using a website and owning the domain, my production agency will also use Instagram to promote our business. In my contracts, it will state that I have the right to use portions of finished videos to use on social media to promote my business.
